Revving Up Downtown: A Great First Year for the Rev It Up Main Street Car Show

What a day.

It may have been a little cold and a little blustery, but that didn’t stop Harrison from showing up.

We were thrilled to see so many people come downtown to admire the vehicles, visit with friends, bring their families, and enjoy the morning together. For a first annual event, the response was incredibly encouraging and a wonderful reminder of how much people enjoy gathering in the heart of our community.

And honestly? The square was made for classic cars.

Seeing those vehicles lined up around the courthouse made it easy to imagine this becoming a favorite downtown tradition.

Strong Participation for a First-Year Event

We welcomed 62 registered vehicle entries, and the competition was strong.

From beautifully restored classics to eye-catching trucks and motorcycles, the vehicles on display absolutely did not disappoint. It was clear that participants brought both pride and passion to the event, which made the judging no easy task.

Congratulations to our winners:

1st Place: Ron Thomas, 1957 Chevy Belair
2nd Place: Tom Laney, Red Chevy Truck
1st Place Motorcycle: Hunter Rowe, 2005 Harley Fatboy

Congratulations to each of our winners, and thank you to every driver who registered and brought a vehicle to be part of the day. Your participation helped make this event what it was, and your entry fees helped support making events like this possible.

Fun for the Whole Family

One of the best parts of the morning was seeing families enjoy downtown together.

Thanks to Camp Iron Bluff, kids had the chance to tackle the climbing wall, and from the smiles, laughter, and determined little climbers, it was clear they were having a blast.

We also handed out 93 Hot Wheels and Main Street Harrison stickers, which tells us there were plenty of young car enthusiasts enjoying the show right alongside the adults.

Community Support Made It Possible

Events like this don’t happen without incredible community support.

A huge thank you to Jacob Little and Bryan Ramsey for serving as judges and putting so much time and thoughtful care into every decision.

Thank you to the Builders Car Club for your help, experience, and knowledge in helping bring this event to life.

Thank you to Equity Bank for sponsoring the prizes for the show.

And thank you to everyone who bundled up, braved the chilly weather, and came downtown anyway.

Looking Ahead

If this first event proved anything, it’s that Harrison knows how to show up for downtown.

We’re already excited about the next time.
