Investing in Downtown Harrison’s Future

The Downtown Revitalization Grant Program provides financial assistance to downtown property and business owners who want to improve their buildings while preserving the character and history of downtown Harrison.

Through funding made available by Main Street Arkansas and the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, the program supports projects that enhance the appearance, functionality, and long-term sustainability of downtown properties.

  • Window repair or replacement
  • Door repair or replacement

  • Awnings
  • Lighting improvements
  • Landscaping features
  • Accessibility improvements
  • Murals

Eligible projects are not limited to the examples listed above. Applicants are encouraged to contact Main Street Harrison to discuss proposed improvements before applying. Other projects that support downtown revitalization and preservation goals may also be considere


Application Requirements

  • Completed grant application
  • Detailed project description
  • Cost estimates or contractor quotes
  • Photos of existing conditions
  • Property owner authorization if the applicant is a tenant
  • Renderings, material samples, color selections, or product specifications, when applicable

Reimbursement Requirements

  • Approved project completed as proposed.
  • Paid itemized invoices or receipts Proof of payment in the form of:
  • A credit or debit card receipt, or
  • A returned or canceled check provided by the applicant’s bank
  • Bank statements, credit card statements, handwritten acknowledgments, and cash receipts are not accepted as proof of payment
  • Cash payments for services rendered are not eligible for reimbursement
  • Photos of completed work
  • Any additional documentation requested by Main Street Harrison
  • Reimbursement request submitted no later than April 30, 2027

Invest in Your Downtown Property

The 2026–2027 Downtown Revitalization Mini Grant application period has closed. Applications submitted by August 25, 2026, will be reviewed after the deadline, and funding decisions will be based on eligibility, project merit, and available funds.
